Welcome the new vice president of business development, Todd Sherner, to Horizon! Todd is an expert in the foodservice industry and strives in strategic planning, account management, operations analysis, marketing initiatives, staff leadership and more.
"Todd brings valuable knowledge and connections with his prior experience in the foodservice industry," says Tracy Smith. "He previously held significant roles in developing new business, retaining customers and negotiating contracts."
Todd attended University of Wisconsin-Stout for a bachelor of science in hotel and restaurant management. He received his master of science in training and development from UW-Stout as well. He has certifications in many areas including Certified Foodservice Sales Professional Level I, Hobart Dealer Sales Development, Alto-Shaam Culinary Foodservice Training for the Consultant, DI Foodservice Companies Factory Location Training and Southbend Certified Dealer Training Program.
Todd says, "I’m eager to bring a wealth of experience to Horizon. Being known in the foodservice industry locally and nationally, I am attracted to the level of commitment Horizon makes to be complete outfitters for its customers."
Since 1998, Todd served as senior contract and design account manager with Tri-Mark Hockenbergs/Grand Foodservice Equipment, Inc. He managed all sales goals, new business development, customer retention and built more than 100 large business relationships. He also coordinated installation and worked with contractors on a deadline and within the budget.
