Over the last several months, Horizon designed and installed the New Uptown Cafe (sister to the Uptown Diner and Woodbury Café) in Minneapolis including the front and back of house.
Our design team worked with owners John and Linda McCarty to transform the old North Face store on Hennepin Avenue into a café and separate leasable retail space. Horizon furnished and installed all of the furniture, fixtures and equipment for the project.
Numerous design development meetings with the architect, Carlsen & Frank Architects and LLC, and the General Contractor, Kruser Construction, ensured everything came together smoothly.
Our project management team solved difficult supply chain issues by finding and procuring alternatives when lead times would have delayed the project. Additionally, we kept the project on budget despite numerous price increases and did not pass those on to the owners. We are extremely proud of how this project turned out. Hard work definitely paid off!
